Anthony’s Restaurant

Bremerton Ferry
Terminal Signage

Anthony’s Restaurant, a Pacific Northwest staple, faces the challenge of unifying a diverse family of restaurants with distinct visual identities. Two of these restaurants live on each end of the Bremerton ferry route. For this sign that hangs in the ferry terminal we wanted to showcase both brands and their positioning at both ends of the route.

The Challenge:

The design challenge for this Anthony's Restaurant sign stemmed from the fact that their family of brands has such diverse identities. The goal was to merge two distinct brands into one cohesive sign, all while incorporating complex photography and considering the unique setting at the Bremerton ferry terminal.

The Result:

To achieve the client’s goal, I placed the Bremerton location and logo on the left side, with the Pier 66 location and logo on the right. This design effectively guides the viewer’s eye across the sign, following the ferry route through Puget Sound from one logo to the other.

The lined background pattern evokes both the striations of fish and the topographical lines of a map, creating a visual connection between the journey across the Sound and the delicious seafood that awaits.
